Network Engineer

ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Engineer to join our team in Crane, Indiana. This position is onsite.

As a core member, you will assist in the research & design, engineering, integration, testing, training, logistics, laboratory research, field engineering, and acquisition and operations analysis in support of a variety of Navy and Marine Corps programs and projects with a focus on defensive cyber technologies, mission assurance, and resilience capabilities for the tactical network environment. Your effort will go towards dramatically increasing the warfighter’s effectiveness. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic network issues, keeping our systems running smoothly
• Monitor network performance, ensuring maximum availability and reliability for our users
• Collaborate with a talented team to implement innovative network solutions
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• 0-5 years of experience in Network Engineering or a similar role
• High School Diploma
• Basic understanding of networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
• Familiarity with network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+
• Experience with network monitoring tools to keep a pulse on performance
• Knowledge of wireless networking to support modern connectivity needs
• Strong problem-solving skills to tackle challenges head-on
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to thrive in a collaborative environment
  
  

Clearance Requirements:

• No active clearance required but must obtain TS/SCI prior to starting
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
• Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
• Must be able to work in high noise areas.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
• Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
