What does a successful Engagement Manager do?
As an Engagement Manager at Fiserv, you will ensure the predictable, consistent, and successful delivery of projects within the Debit processing environment. Under minimal supervision, you will partner with key stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and monitor projects from start to completion, spanning multiple business units or functional areas. Your role is to drive transparency, alignment, and effective decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
What you will do:
- Drive predictable, consistent project delivery.
- Provide a comprehensive view of overall project progress to stakeholders.
- Engage in proactive project planning activities, including defining project scope, creating consolidated timelines, and managing dependencies.
- Establish project governance by outlining roles, responsibilities, and decision rights.
- Define success criteria upfront to ensure alignment and manage project outcomes.
- Keep stakeholders engaged and informed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate project progress transparently and provide venues for effective decision-making.
- Lead and own all aspects of the project lifecycle.
- Represent client needs in product development initiatives related to the project.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent work experience and/or equivalent military experience.
- 5+ years of experience in project management and/or relevant consulting experience.
- Working experience in a Debit processing environment.
What would be great to have:
- 5+ years of experience in project management processes and methodologies.
- Experience in banking, financial services, and/or software industries.
- 5+ years of experience driving large-scale change initiatives.
- 5+ years of experience in matrix management of cross-functional processes and teams.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
