About your role:
As a Senior Program Manager, you have the opportunity to add value and grow your skills for large cross-functional global software development programs. You will be joining our growing Digital Solutions business unit that provides online banking and mobile financial services applications for over 2,300 financial institutions and provides services to millions of customers. This role is accountable for all aspects of the management and oversight of the XD 2.0 Program and provides a single point of contact for the overarching program. You will be responsible for running very large programs consisting of 250+ people across multiple continents and countries, with a mixture of full-time and contract resources to coordinate delivery of XD 2.0.
What you’ll do:
- Plan and supervise activities for the XD 2.0 program.
- Oversee the development and management of program expectations ensuring all applicable functional areas in Fiserv are engaged on the project
- Initiate and lead project planning activities such as Scope Definition and Management, Risk Management, Communication Management, etc.
- Create and maintain a project schedule for each project by identifying and monitoring: overall project timeline, project milestones, tasks, resources, ETAs, task dependencies, and critical paths
- Control and track project performance, time allocations, cost, and quality by constantly evaluating project progress and conducting regular team status meetings
- Coordinate with other project managers and organizational entities to identify and monitor issues, impacts and dependencies
- Coordinate meetings, as needed, to initiate working sessions, resolve project issues, etc.
- Promote continuous improvement by conducting, documenting, and communicating lessons learned
- Provide status on progress of projects
- Ensure audit compliance
- Display strong understanding of the organization's business strategies and apply knowledge to all project activities
- Build relationships with all functional areas and manage stakeholder expectations
- Utilize applicable Agile industry best practices and Fiserv standards for project, program and portfolio management
Experience you’ll need to have:
- 5 years of program management experience with all phases in the full SDLC for multiple projects and programs in a portfolio
- Information technology program experience at scale, including software development, transitioning to public cloud with high security governance, over 100 globally distributed employees and third-party people, with total costs in the $10 million to $30 million range
- Experience working for a global enterprise with cross-functional teams distributed across multiple/international locations
- Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative and self-directed manner with project and program team members/stakeholders in developing and maintaining appropriate project and program artifacts (e.g. dashboards, status report, stakeholder register, communication plan).
- Ability to quickly establish and maintain relationships with diverse set of stakeholders to ensure valid vision and ability to deliver value consistent with the vision and business strategy this project or program is a part of.
- Ability to facilitate daily program meetings, workshops, and troubleshooting sessions with cross-functional teams along with overcoming multiple obstacles simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Financial services industry experience - adhering to compliance and governance requirements
- PMP and PgMP or equivalent certification
