Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Legal Department (Toyota Legal One, or TL1) is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Warranty/Lemon Law (W/LL) Case Assistant.
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide litigation and project management support to the TL1 W/LL Paralegal Case Managers and Managing Counsel in all aspects of overseeing a high-volume portfolio of W/LL lawsuits, claims, and other customer issues.
Reporting to the Managing Counsel, Business Litigation and Warranty/Lemon Law, the person in this role will support TL1’s objective to strategically and efficiently manage W/LL litigation and related matters.
The successful candidate will have:

This position is based in Plano, Texas. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of this location.
What you’ll be doing
Support TL1’s W/LL Paralegal Case Managers and Managing Counsel in overseeing a high-volume W/LL litigation and claims portfolio, with responsibilities including:
Obtaining and managing customer and vehicle documents and other information needed for case evaluation and discovery
Creating and updating reports on new matters, trial docket, and significant events
Managing the vehicle buyback process
Track and monitor W/LL budget, case statistics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and other analytics
Facilitate communications and respond to requests from outside counsel and business clients
Handle special projects and other matters as request to support the Litigation Group and TL1
What you bring
Experience as a paralegal, case assistant, or project management support at a law firm or in-house legal department
Experience with document and matter management systems
Proficiency in Excel and running reports
Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage high-volume of work, including supporting multiple individuals
Added bonus if you have
Experience supporting litigation teams and litigation case managers
Automotive industry experience, particularly warranty/lemon law
Experience with data analysis or financial analysis including proficiency with tools like Excel, SQL, and data visualization software like Tableau or Power BI
