What does a successful Deal Desk Contract Analyst do? At Fiserv, a Deal Desk Contract Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of sales contracts. As a bridge between sales, finance, legal, and other departments, this position streamlines the sales process and optimizes deal profitability and accuracy. A successful Contract Analyst ensures that all contractual terms meet our company guidelines while supporting critical sales functions and fostering strong cross-departmental collaboration.
What you will do:
- Review contracts by collaborating with various departments to streamline the sales cycle and ensure deal terms and pricing comply with company policies.
- Manage contracts by addressing and resolving central operational questions and issues, and drafting terms and conditions in collaboration with the legal team.
- Draft Statements of Work (SOWs) that align project deliverables, timelines, and responsibilities with organizational goals and contractual obligations.
- Lead the contract process and SOW deliverables across teams such as finance, legal, product management, operations, and other internal groups.
- Assist in developing content and reviewing pricing proposal materials to tailor proposals / SOWs to meet client needs while aligning with the Fiserv solution offerings.
- Consult on pricing strategies, ensuring correctness between contract terms, financial models, and pricing workbooks, optimizing Fiserv revenue and client satisfaction.
- Maintain reports tracking major contract activity, renewal terms, and compliance with pricing parameters.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance contracting efficiency and overall sales effectiveness.
What you will need to have:
- 5+ years of experience directly negotiating or being a lead participant in negotiating multi-million-dollar contracts from the “seller-side.”
- 5+ years of experience in contract management/law, legal analysis, and legal terminology.
- 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry-specific regulations and standards.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Professional, and more.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Law, or related field and/or equivalent military experience.
What would be great to have:
- 5+ years of experience with CRM systems (for example, Salesforce) and other sales-related tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
- 5+ years of experience in a pricing function.
- Knowledge of revenue recognition principles and accounting practices.
