What does a successful Government Solutions Sales Executive do at Fiserv?
As a Government Solutions Sales Executive at Fiserv, you will be responsible for seeking out, developing, and selling Fiserv payment and eCommerce products and services as well as consulting services to state and county public sector agencies. This role leads the way in offering the Fiserv enterprise portfolio of payment processing solutions to and from the government. Success in this role requires an in-depth understanding of our clients' business goals, strategies, industry trends, and how Fiserv solutions align with their requirements.
What you will do:
- Provide strategic and consultative management to new clients in the government solutions vertical.
- Prospect and close new Government accounts within an assigned geography, managing the sales process from RFPs to contract signatures.
- Build and refine a territory plan to maximize business opportunities.
- Create business cases and deliver client proposals, including financial justifications and expected results, to overcome objections and secure the business with maximum revenue and margin.
What you will need to have:
- 7+ years of experience in sales and/or relationship management functions.
- Experience in Government and Public Sector sales, with “C-Level” (CEO, CFO, COO) sales experience focusing on solution selling and the ability to sustain relationships at a senior level, gaining client trusted advisor status.
- Experience with Salesforce for tracking and reporting pipeline and achieving sales targets.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.
