Pay Range: $29.18 - $31.42, depending on experience
Rate Frequency: Hourly
Schedule: Mainly 40-48 hours weekly (including overtime when needed), will be covering vacations, PTO/time off. When not covering, the Relief Tech will be expected to work 6am to 2pm OR 2pm to 10:30pm Monday-Friday and sometimes Tuesday to Saturday. The Relief Tech must be flexible to work all hours.

Job Overview
The Quality Assurance Relief Technician will execute the delivery of the daily blend requirements; through the manufacturing of syrup batches using raw materials including water, sugar, and concentrate. This role will coordinate the collection of product samples in preparation for sensory tests, and ensure all equipment is sanitized to prevent microbiological contamination of products, per company quality specifications and regulatory requirements; perform water treatment tests, calibrate and maintain lab instruments; perform required data entry per record of completion.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Execute the delivery of the daily blend requirements according to production schedules; through the manufacturing of syrup batches from raw materials, including water, sugar, and concentrate; ensure adherence to the company quality assurance specification requirements
- Coordinate the collection of product samples in preparation for sensory tests performed by panelists to ensure adherence to the company sensory requirements and perform tests to ensure product; package quality of finished beverage products are following company quality specifications and regulatory requirements
- Perform external and internal or Clean in Place (CIP) sanitation on production lines following the Company Quality Assurance Sanitation Policy; ensure proper aseptic techniques are used for microbial sample collections; ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations; maintain water treatment equipment
- Maintain and calibrate all lab equipment to ensure measurement accuracy
- Maintain testing and calibration records and result through data entry into the Lab Data Management System (LDMS)
- Perform water treatment quality tests following company quality specifications and regulatory requirements
- Create quality holds on finished beverage products for containment and investigation when quality test results do not meet specification
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to follow work instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures
- Understanding of a laboratory environment and practices preferred
- Basic math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Familiar with High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Gas Chromatography (GC) Technology
- Basic microbial knowledge and aseptic techniques
- Basic computer skills and hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to multitask
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment with seasonal temperatures, flexible shifts, and weekend and holiday work based on business needs unless specified otherwise by a CBA
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk manufacturing floor, climb stairs, and lift, up to 25lbs.
