What You Will Do
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing inventory in a local branch to include the physical and systematic (database) receiving and transfer of materials, parts and packing materials to prescribed departments and locations. Performs cycle/physical counts when applicable.
How You Will Do It
- Physically receive material as it arrives to the warehouse, check packing slips against contents for any irregularities or inaccuracies.
- Systematically enter the receipts into Oracle software and update the install project in our proprietary software.
- Tracks and follows up with vendors and internal partners on expected receipts to determine any delays or extended lead times. Communicates these delays to stakeholders as needed.
- Ensures that the warehouse is a safe, organized, and secure facility and takes immediate corrective action necessary to regain compliance when defaults are found.
- Physically stage material on shelves by Install job using printed Move Orders.
- Systematically enter the transfer of material in Oracle software.
- Reports shortages of material of any kind and may be required to take inventory of material at periodic intervals as directed.
- Examines equipment returned from cancelled accounts to determine if the equipment should be repaired, replaced under warranty, returned to manufacturers for credit, or disposed within Johnson Controls Inc. guidelines.
- Operates hand trucks and other equipment per JCI EHS guidelines as needed.
- Uses assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as detailed in JCI Safety guidelines to ensure safety remains the top priority.
- Communicates in professional and courteous manner, daily with other departments, Managers and co-workers, face to face, phone, e-mail, or other means necessary to provide best in class service.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required
What we look for:
- High School diploma or equivalent combined education and experience.
- Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including email and Microsoft Office software. Tech savvy is a plus.
- Positive interpersonal skills and decision-making abilities.
- Professional and polite communication skills needed.
- Ability to operate warehouse related equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb a ladder.
