The Manager, Salesforce Administration is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Salesforce solutions that support the operational and strategic goals of the organization. This role requires a blend of hands-on Salesforce administration, architectural strategy, and people leadership. The ideal candidate will have experience supervising and mentoring Salesforce professionals, as well as building and leading high-performing teams. They will possess a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, manage complex environments, and effectively translate business requirements into scalable, sustainable solutions that drive business value.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Supervises and mentors Salesforce administrators and developers, fostering skill growth and accountability within the team.
· Builds and leads a high-performing Salesforce team, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and resource planning.
- Acts as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams for Salesforce-related initiatives.
- Gathers, analyzes, and prioritizes business requirements and translate them into effective Salesforce configurations or solutions.
- Conducts regular stakeholder meetings to communicate system updates, project timelines, and gather feedback.
- Presents technical concepts and architectural options to non-technical stakeholders clearly and understandably.
- Oversees the administration of Salesforce, including user setup, roles, profiles, permission sets, workflows, flows, dashboards, reports, and data management.
- Designs and implements scalable Salesforce solutions, leveraging best practices in system architecture.
- Maintains data integrity and security standards across all Salesforce instances.
- Manages integrations between Salesforce and other internal/external platforms using APIs or middleware tools.
- Leads and manages Salesforce projects from conception to delivery, ensuring business needs are met on time and within scope.
- Develops project plans, maintain documentation, and provide status reports to stakeholders.
- Coordinates internal teams and external vendors to ensure alignment and success across multiple workstreams.
- Resolves technical or process challenges that arise during the implementation and maintenance phases.
- Stays current with Salesforce releases, features, and best practices, and apply them to maximize platform efficiency.
- Evaluates and recommends third-party tools, AppExchange products, or custom development where appropriate.
- Identifies areas for system enhancement and automation to improve business workflows and productivity.
- Provides training and guidance to end users, admins, and junior team members.
- Develops and maintains system documentation, training materials, and support resources.
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Champions change management practices to ensure smooth adoption of new features or processes.
- Ability to maintain consistent and regular attendance in accordance with an established schedule.
- Ability to work onsite/in-office in accordance with CCS and department policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on Salesforce administration and configuration experience across multiple clouds (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud).
- Proven experience with Salesforce automation tools including Flows, Process Builder, Workflow Rules, and Approval Processes.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data modeling, role hierarchies, sharing rules, and security best practices.
- Experience with Apex, SOQL, Lightning Components, and third-party AppExchange integrations preferred.
- Familiarity with Salesforce integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, or custom APIs) and platform limitations.
- Demonstrated experience managing or mentoring Salesforce administrators, developers, or cross-functional Salesforce teams.
- Ability to lead Salesforce platform strategy, oversee architectural decisions, and enforce governance standards.
- Experience defining and managing Salesforce roadmaps and system lifecycle (design, testing, deployment, support).
- Skilled in stakeholder management, with the ability to balance business priorities, technical feasibility, and team capacity.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with business users, executives, and technical teams.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Deep knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and the Lightning platform.
- Experience with Apex, Visualforce, Flow, SOQL, APIs, and data migration tools such as Data Loader.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes, version control (e.g., Git), and Salesforce DevOps tools is a plus.
- Ability to analyze complex business processes and translate them into technical solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address system inefficiencies and user issues.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Ability to build trust and maintain strong working relationships across departments.
- Capable of managing cross-functional initiatives and influencing without direct authority.
- Understanding of how Salesforce supports CRM, sales, marketing, and customer service functions.
- Ability to align system architecture with organizational objectives and performance goals.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. Degree preferred or directly related equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in product management, preferably in a client-facing role.
