We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunication systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fiber splicing, network installation, and have hands-on experience with various telecommunications equipment. Your expertise will ensure that our communication networks operate efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Perform fiber splicing and cabling for various telecommunication systems.
- Install and configure network equipment including Cisco routers and Ethernet devices.
- Conduct field service operations to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment to complete installations and repairs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and service records.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding telecommunication services.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards while working on low voltage systems.
Experience
- Proven experience in telecommunications or related fields.
- Proficiency in computer networking concepts and practices.
- Familiarity with mechanical knowledge relevant to telecommunications systems.
- Experience as a service technician is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of electrical principles and the use of an ohmmeter is a plus.
