The Profitability Desk supports Oil & Gas and Power Generation
Areas of responsibility are varied and of medium to high complexity, including preparing margin analyses for New Equipment projects, worldwide:
- Collaborates with Project Applications Engineers and Sales team to properly assess profitability of projects through detailed margin analyses
- Interacts and presents data to multiple functional areas and levels of management in Business Development, Business Management and Finance
- Leads meetings for New Equipment, including providing guidance and support to others in the O&G / PG Finance group to analyze project margin variances and ensure forecasting accuracy
- Calculates annual recost impact on backlog and evaluates effect on overall margin performance
- Collaborates with engineering teams on new products by analyzing cost structures, pricing strategies and operational requirements
- Directs and oversees the work of a new accountant or agency contractor
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or an equivalent degree with at least 18 college units in Accounting required
- 3-5 years of accounting experience
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
- Demonstrated high levels of initiative, leadership, good judgment, and effective communication skills
- A broad understanding of accounting business processes and a comprehensive knowledge of Solar’s business, products, suppliers, and customers
- Ability to resolve issues independently and take responsibility for outcomes
- Strong analytical, process improvement, problem-solving, and human relations skills
- Prior experience in financial/business analysis and experience with Solar systems (Hyperion/Essbase/SmartView, Windchill, Baan 5c, ERP LN, Salesforce, Power BI, etc.)
- Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Business and/or professional license (CPA, CMA, etc.)
Summary Pay Range:
$108,834.00 - $163,252.00
This position requires working onsite five days a week.Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position.
