What does a successful Technical Support/QA Engineer do at Fiserv?
As a Technical Support/QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the quality of our software products. Your expertise will help ensure that our solutions meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. Working closely with development and product teams, you will identify issues, implement best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes.
You will implement and maintain monitoring solutions for server uptime, resource utilization, and application responsiveness as well as oversee health and performance of Web, Application, and MUX servers across QA, UAT, and Production environments.
In addition you will proactively identify and resolve issues using tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, and other monitoring platforms along with m server configurations, deployments, and patching to ensure stability and security.
You will also analyze logs and metrics to detect anomalies, optimize performance, and prevent outages as well as document environment management processes and best practices for cross-team knowledge sharing.
What you will do:
- Manage and maintain AWS environments across Non-Prod, Cert, and Production regions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot platform health in QA and UAT environments using Dynatrace and Splunk.
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to support environment setup and deployments.
- Implement and maintain environment monitoring, alerting, and reporting solutions.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve environment-related incidents.
- Document environment configurations, processes, and best practices.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to support environment troubleshooting and incident response.
What you will need to have:
- 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
- 2+ years of experience in automation testing.
- 2+ years of experience in performance testing.
- 2+ years of experience in Agile methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and military experience.
What would be great to have:
- Experience in financial services/payments domain.
- Experience with AWS services, cloud automation, and infrastructure as code.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release management is a plus.
- Experience in monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and/or Splunk.
