ResponsibilitiesWhat You’ll Do
- Assist in the admission discharge and transfer process of patients.
- Set up tables instruments and supplies required for cesarean sections vaginal deliveries and circumcisions; maintaining sterile technique.
- Respond to patient calls anticipate their needs and assure their safety and comfort through regular rounds environmental maintenance and other appropriate safety measures.
- Maintain appropriate stock and equipment inventories in the department and patient rooms.
- Assist in the preparation and draping of the patient and operative area.
- Prepare pass and maintain a correct count of instruments sutures sponges and supplies utilized during the operative procedure.
- Maintain surgical instruments by ensuring proper washing packaging sterilization and storage.
Qualifications- BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association required upon hire.
- CNA Certification or Surgical Technologist course completion required.
- Experience in a surgical or acute care setting preferred.
