What you will do:
The Payment Processing Engineer is responsible for overseeing the testing and production environments for our payment processing switch and online payments. They will work in a team with other engineers and collaborate on projects for our clients, manage compliance deliveries, participate in testing new changes, prepare documentation for vendor and DEV, analyze performance, redundancy, and system reliability. They will analyze various client requests and inquiries regarding transaction scenarios. They will closely collaborate with the infrastructure team to ensure that the current IT infrastructure meets the requirements for load and functionality.
What you will need to have:
- Experience in real-time transaction orientated environments
- Working knowledge of Unix (AIX) environment or IMB Mainframe or HPE NonStop
- Networking / Telecommunications (TCP/IP, VPN, MPLS)
- Experience in Database systems, ideally Oracle
- Knowledge of payment Acquiring or Issuing business desirable
- Experience with payment testing simulators or any test automation tools desirable
- Log bugs and interact with development about problems with the solution
- Documentation of functionality, setup, technical requirements
- Troubleshooting of production, testing & certification issues
- Overview in the cryptographic aspect of payments and the necessity of securing sensitive data
- Willingness to join an out of hours on call support rota
