Position Summary:
KBR is seeking a highly motivated Information Technology (IT) and Staff Support Specialist to assist the staff for the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisition and Integration (SAF/SQ).
Key Responsibilities:
This Specialist directly supports the Director of Resource Management and Support Operations (SAF/SQR). The Specialist will assist the Director by performing a variety of functions, including: Information Technology support, Audio/Visual support, Logistics, Records Management, and Facilities support functions. As needed, the IT and Staff Support Specialist will also assist other members of SAF/SQR with administrative tasks; SharePoint site design, development, and maintenance; and security administration. The Specialist should thrive in a work environment with high expectations, and be able to manage significantly diverse assignments with attention to details.
Working independently, or as part of a diverse team, the IT and Staff Support Specialist will be responsible for:
- Providing unit-level information technology support, serving as the primary interface between users and the help desk;
- Coordination with internal and external IT service providers;
- Serving as the organization’s alternate client support administrator and providing user support in trouble shooting computer systems and networks, including printers, scanners, software, and other IT equipment assigned;
- Performing urgent technical problem resolution;
- Assisting with facilities, audio/visual equipment, and logistics functions;
- Managing computer asset issuance, inventory, and accountability;
- Managing office supplies and equipment;
- Providing the support needed to operate SAF/SQ’s meeting and conference facilities at all SAF/SQ locations in the Pentagon;
- Providing assistance and support to maintain and execute SAF/SQ facility agreements;
- Coordinating and overseeing the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment to ensure organizational compliance with OSHA, EPA, ADA, NFPA, and state and local standards;
- Receiving and sending classified mail from the AF mail facility when required;
- Supporting the Information Systems Security Officer fulfill his or her duties for SAF/SQ, to include: resolving software and hardware issues, account access, data transfers, scanning, and copying data to/from external media when required.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Engineering or related field and 7+ years of relevant work experience. Will consider equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance to be considered for the position
- Excellent organizations skills; ability to prioritize, plan, track, and meet due dates for multiple concurrent tasks and products central to the customer’s business processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar standard computer applications
- Ability to foster stable and productive business relationships that promote cooperation
- Ability to work collaboratively with personnel from multiple functions and at all levels of the customer organization to delivery results; strong networking, interpersonal, and customer service skills are key
Desired:
- Master’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., IT, or engineering)
- Recent experience in a military headquarters staff, or substantially similar organization
- Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint configuration and administration
- Experience in project management
