Description:We are Lockheed MartinLockheed Martin Aeronautics in seeking a full-time Design Engineer for the AMMM Program in Marietta, GA. A successful candidate will apply technical expertise in developing solutions to aircraft design problems. Responsibilities for this position may include:
- Creation and/or modification of 3D loft surfaces to assist organizations with 3D model development.
- Contributing to retention of legacy data through drawing interpretation, 2D scans, conversion to vector data and 2D plotting to assist with both production and supplier quality validations.
- Assisting in 3D model development for complex parts.
- Coordination with internal Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), with some interaction with external IPTs and suppliers.
Must be a US Citizen; this position will not require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

- 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree
- Experience with CATIA V5 or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool
- Experience with surfacing design and loft development
- Experience with metallic and composite structural design
Desired Skills:- Experience with CATIA V5, CADAM and Raster to Vector Conversion Software
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience with loft contour manipulation
- Experience with legacy drawing interpretation
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and communication skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
