ResponsibilitiesOur Pre Post Procedure Unit is a 15-bed phase two (2) recovery and procedure recovery unit. The unit is open from 0600-1900 to provide procedural services to the hospital, both inpatient and outpatient. The department recovers GI, MRI, IR, Cath lab and PACU phase 2 patients and prepares them for discharge, and is also responsible for admitting outpatient GI patients and readying them for procedures.
The incumbent is a professional who provides and supervises care to individuals and families using a holistic approach. The nursing process is used as a structured mechanism for critical thinking and problem solving in providing effective and appropriate care within a safe and confidential environment from admission to discharge. Each RN is responsible for collaborating with members of the healthcare team providing leadership personal/professional development and conducting him/herself professionally.

Two years of adult critical care nursing experience
Experience with post cardiac interventional / interventional radiology patients
Skills related to laboratory and x-ray order entry and online documentation
Sheath management and removal experience
