Description:You will be the Strategic Operations Research Analyst for the Operations Analysis team. Our team is responsible for providing operations analysis support to various Lockheed Martin programs and projects.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Strategic Operations Research Analyst, you will be responsible for using systematic, science-based techniques, analytical methods, simulation, and critical thinking to inform and improve decision-making processes. You will collaborate with team members, program managers, and engineers in other disciplines to lead analysis and support requirements definitions, concept of operations (CONOPS) evaluation, and operational effectiveness studies.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Formulating analysis and study plans based on critical questions/problem statements
- Applying engineering-based techniques, problem-solving methods, and critical thinking
- Researching military systems performance and operations
- Simulation, Modeling and Analysis (MS&A) of military systems and scenarios in digital environments
- Developing Design of Experiments (DOE) and quantifying Measures-of-Effectiveness (MOEs)

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance with an investigation within 5 years to start.
Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with at least 5 years of relevant experience (or an advanced degree with at least 3 years)
• Current DoD secret clearance with an investigation within 5 years
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Modeling and simulation experience
• Scripting or data processing experience
• Experience in computer-based analytical tools and MS Office applications
Desired Skills:• Military operations analysis experience executing studies and presenting results (OA, ORSA, #MFCVET)
• Modeling and simulation experience in AFSIM, Brawler, Suppressor, ESAMS, or equivalent
• Knowledge of military tactics and organizations
• Software development experience (C++, Git, Gitlab)
• Experience with radar, electronic warfare, infrared, or military communication systems
• Proficient in data analytics, data science, and data visualization
• Advanced degree from an accredited college/university
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
