Description:You will be the Manufacturing Engineer for the Missiles and Fire Control team. Our team is responsible for developing best-in-class products and solutions that keep people safe and solve complex challenges.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical products and systems, including tooling and equipment, to support our production efforts. Your responsibilities will include:
• Develop tooling and equipment designs from engineering hardware specifications and culminating in complete technical data packages fully defining the tooling / equipment and allowing fabrication of detailed components and assembly of the end item.
• Design / documentation efforts to be accomplished IAW company standards utilizing Pro-Engineer / Solid Works.
• Provide engineering support to the production floor for issues that may surface in normal day to day integration processes by analyzing and using problem solving skills in a team environment in accordance with production rate requirements.
• Research, plan, design and develop mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and / or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and / or machines.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance, therefore, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills:
• Proficient with MS Office suite
• Knowledgeable of machine / tool mechanical design
• Knowledgeable of general manufacturing / integration processes
• Proficiency or experience with AutoCAD, CREO, or Solid Works.
• Knowledgeable of engineering materials
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings
• Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
