Description:You will be the Production Manager for the Production Operations team. Our team is responsible for managing the day-to-day production of missiles in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing quality, schedule, and cost, with a major emphasis on creating and executing dynamic strategies that ensure on-time missile deliveries that meet all aspects of the engineering and quality requirements while controlling cost to meet the overall program objectives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing quality, schedule, and cost
- Providing direction to both exempt and non-exempt salaried personnel
- Acting as a direct interface with program senior management, government and military officials, vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders
- Managing manpower planning, employee selection, training, assessment, work assignments, evaluations, and recognition/disciplinary actions
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:Degree from an accredited institution at the Bachelor level or above
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Lockheed Martin will assist candidate with obtaining at least an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting.
Experience and success leading teams within a production/ operations environment
Excellent communication skills with experience delivering presentations to various size groups
Proficient skill with computing resources including MS Office applications
**Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.

Production Operations experience in high-rate / multi-shift work environment
Demonstrated capability to manage budgets and schedules
Greenbelt or Blackbelt certified

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
