Position Summary Details The Lead Janitor oversees the cleaning and maintenance of facilities to ensure a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment. This role includes supervising janitorial staff, coordinating cleaning schedules, inspecting work quality, and performing hands-on cleaning duties. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced in custodial operations.
Responsibilities - Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of janitorial staff.
- Train new custodial team members on cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
- Inspect facilities to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment (e.g., floor buffers, carpet cleaners).
- Respond to urgent cleaning needs or maintenance issues.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding staffing, supplies, and facility needs.
Qualifications - Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications - Customer Service Experience
