Job Summary Details: The
Airline Passenger Assistant/Baggage Handler, also known as the
Wheelchair Agent, fulfills airline passenger service obligations for passengers who require or request wheelchair assistance. Passenger services positions are very customer service-oriented and “tipping” is allowed and customary. Wheelchair Agents who provide extraordinary customer service are known to increase their earning potential between $25–$100 per week. Also, as
Baggage Handler is responsible for assisting passengers and airline ticketing agent with lifting, moving and properly transporting their luggage
Pay Rate: $13/hour + Tips
Shift: Sunday-Thursday 3:30am-12pm

Basic Qualifications:• Must be 18 years of age or older
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
• No experience required and on the job training provided
Preferred Qualification:• One (1) year of customer service experience preferred
Responsibilities:• Follow safety precautions at all times while transporting passengers
• Positive interpersonal interaction with passengers
• Comply with all client and/or site security requirements and processes
• Safely transport passengers in wheelchairs from their retrieval point to their desired destination within the client site or grounds
• Assist passengers with baggage retrieval and transport, if necessary
• Coordinate assignments with dispatchers and gate Agents, if necessary
• Complete thorough Incident Reports
• Carrying or otherwise transporting passenger luggage to and from the outside sidewalk or main entrance of the airport and the inside ticket counter.
• Assist in proper handling of oversized luggage, kennels, and skis of up to or more than 50lbs which may require lots of bending and lifting
• Ensure passenger luggage is placed in the belt within the designated time frame.
• Adhere to required security procedures and hazardous material handling requirements.
