What does a Product Owner - Digital Security and Identity Do?
At Fiserv, a Product Owner - Digital Security and Identity is focused on Security and Identity Management, and serves as the critical link between Product Management and Agile development teams. The mission is to ensure the secure delivery of identity, access, and authentication capabilities that protect users, systems, and data. You will guide development teams in delivering secure, scalable, and compliant solutions aligned with the product roadmap and organizational security goals.
What You Will Do:

- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Security Architects, IAM Engineers, and Product Managers to understand business needs, regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST), and user expectations.
- Backlog Ownership: Define, prioritize, and manage a backlog of features such as MFA, SSO, RBAC, identity federation, and audit logging.
- Sprint Engagement: Maintain a pipeline of security-focused backlog items, participate in sprint planning and grooming, and validate completed stories for compliance and functionality.
- Cross-Team Coordination: Collaborate with DevSecOps, infrastructure, and compliance teams to identify dependencies and resolve blockers.
- Security Advocacy: Ensure security best practices (e.g., least privilege, zero trust, secure coding) are embedded in product development.
- Progress Communication: Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the status of security and identity features in development.
- Enablement Support: Act as a subject matter expert for internal teams, supporting training, documentation, and customer communications related to security features.
- Release Readiness: Coordinate release activities including security testing, documentation, compliance checks, and go-to-market support.
