Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a new Ground Segment Analysis and Integration Team (GS AIT) Senior Manager supporting an Air Dominance Proprietary Program located in Berkeley, MO.
As the GS AIT Senior Manager, you will lead in a highly dynamic environment focusing on Analysis, Integration, and Test on a Proprietary program within Air dominance. This is a phenomenal opportunity to lead, execute, and make an impact on a challenging and critically important program. In this role, you will lead a talented team in developing advanced Ground Segment capabilities that protect our nation and allies, utilizing modern hardware and software development practices such as: Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), DevSecOps, and Agile development methodologies.

You must be highly motivated and willing to take intelligent risks to achieve engineering and program objectives. You will work independently communicating across teams to coordinate work scope. You must be comfortable building customer and industry partner relationships as well as briefing senior leadership. Position Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Leads individual contributors and first-line managers performing engineering and technical activities associated with Ground Segment Capability development which includes requirements decomposition, software development, and integration & test.
Team Execution; Drive programmatic execution for Ground Segment Capability Developments. Develop, track and communicate metrics to quantify technical and business performance, organize all EVM reporting and analysis.
Customer Engagement: Interface daily with customers and Boeing program office teams.
Safety Oversight: Ensure personnel and product safety related to design, production, and operation of integrated capabilities.
Technical Oversight & Engineering Excellence: Establish a culture of proactive technical oversight and risk management while ensuring systems engineering, technical integrity, and mission assurance for Ground Segment Capabilities. Provide Analysis, Integration & Test oversight including overall product integration, overall product V&V, capability demonstrations, technical program planning (Sys Integ Plan, Road Map, Capability Release Plan), and Weapon System Integration Lab (WSIL) test planning & execution.
Process Improvement: Implement and enforce engineering functional excellence in people, processes, tools, and practices, while continuously assessing and updating engineering processes for improvement. Acquire resources for test activities, provide technical management and lead process improvements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with all stakeholders including functional counterparts to ensure process inputs and outputs meet requirements.
Supplier Execution: Provides Technical Management of Supplier Execution.
Compliance: Ensure engineering efforts are executed in compliance with established requirements and plans.
Mentorship & Development: Develop managers’ and employees’ skills through coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations
Resource Planning: Plan and coordinate allocation of resources to meet program goals.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
10 years’ related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding, and leading teams.
3+ years of technical experience in complex systems development and integration involving tactical aircraft or ground systems
3+ years of experience working as an engineering manager
3+ years of experience working with Earned Value Management System (EVMS), variance analysis, that indicate progress and compliance with project and program requirement
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Master’s degree or higher
Proven track record of execution in a development environment
Experience supporting a Proprietary Program
Demonstrated experience communicating effectively at multiple levels (peers, executive leaders, and customers)
Experience executing in an Agile work environment and implementing Agile Methodologies
Experience with modern software development methodologies to include DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines
Experience working in Cameo, MSOSA, or similar Model Based Systems Engineering tools
Experience across multiple phases of the product life-cycle
Experience with Open Architecture Standards
Experience applying Program Management Best Practices (PMBPs) to include project planning / scheduling and applying Earned Value Management (EVM).
A final U.S. top secret clearance preferred.

Typical summary pay range: $155,550- $210,450
