What does a successful Accounting Manager do?A successful Accounting Manager at Fiserv performs crucial operational accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions and adhering to GAAP and Fiserv policies. This role supports Fiserv's mission by maintaining excellent financial documentation and control procedures, enabling our financial stability and growth.
What you will do:
- Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries across a broad area of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Review supporting documentation and financial schedules for completeness and accuracy that uphold each journal entry.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations on accounts, including prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, capitalized software, deferred revenue, and others. Research and resolve any identified issues.
- Analyze P&L reports for completeness and reasonableness and perform variance research.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure compliance with GAAP and Fiserv policies.
- Maintain SOX internal control procedures and documentation.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Learn responsibilities of others within the accounting team.
- Other projects as assigned.
What you will need to have:
- 6+ years of experience in accounting.
- Experience working with GAAP.
- Experience performing financial analysis.
- Experience with internal control procedures.
- Experience working with SAP or similar accounting software.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or equivalent military experience.
What would be great to have:
- Master degree in accounting
- Experience with SOX internal controls.
- Experience with financial reconciliations.
- Experience in variance analysis.

- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and lead to stronger productivity.
