POSITION TITLE: Procurement Engineer, VSG Asia
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Procurement Supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Place PO and follow up delivery against materials planning and forecast.
·Coordinate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to find solutions of materials supply issue.
·Inventory control of raw materials, working with team to meet company annual metrics.
·Cooperate with customs clearance specialist to prepare all documents for customs clearance, making sure everything is in compliance with laws and policy.
·Identify localization opportunities of imported parts and work with sourcing engineer on the localization projects.
·Monitor the performance of suppliers and conduct continuous improvement with suppliers.
·Complete other tasks assigned by the leader.
CRITICAL SHORT-TERM OBJECTIVES or CRITICAL ASPECTS OF ROLE NEXT 2-3 YEARS
·Expertise in solving materials supply issue and supplier management.
·Lead sourcing and cost saving activities for assigned categories independently.
·Be capable of driving continuous improvement of purchasing process.
OVERALL QUALIFICATIONS – Skills and Experience
·Bachelor’s degree or above
·With at least 3+ years of related working experience in purchasing, sourcing and commodity
·ERP maintenance and Excel operating skill
·Positive, open-minded, good communication skills and team work spirit
·Strong planning and organization skills, ability to multi-task.
·Self-motivated with learning in process and driven for success(result oriented)
·Excellent knowledge in sourcing, purchasing & material costing
·Good command of English & Mandarin both in written and oral
