Job Purpose
- Provide strategic leadership and executive oversight for FEED and Detail Engineering projects in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Drive project delivery across scope, schedule, cost, risk, and quality for large-scale FEED and detail packages.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and internal executive teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and contractual requirements.
- Mentor senior project teams, establish governance, and promote best practices in project controls, execution planning, and safety management.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement project vision, objectives, and execution strategies for complex FEED/detail projects.
- Develop and approve project baselines (scope, schedule, cost), change control processes, and risk management frameworks.
- Lead multi-disciplinary, multi-site teams; ensure effective interfaces among process, mechanical, piping, civil, electrical, instrumentation, and reliability disciplines.
- Oversee procurement strategies, contract management, and vendor oversight to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Monitor performance metrics, prepare executive-level reporting, and communicate status to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and HSE requirements.
- Lead critical decision-making processes, resolve escalations, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
- Drive value optimization, scenario planning, and contingency management.
- Mentor and develop project controls, engineering, and construction personnel; support succession planning.
- Ensure quality assurance, documentation control, and governance across all project phases.
- Support field activities during construction, commissioning, and start-up; oversee handover and as-built documentation.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, tools, and methodologies; champion continuous improvement.
Experience
- Experience: 22-25+ years of experience in FEED and Detail Engineering and EPCM experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- ADNOC EPC/PMC experience are highly preferred
- Demonstrated leadership delivering large-scale FEED/detail projects and effective project controls.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering in a related field.
- Professional memberships or certifications (e.g., PMP, AACE, PMI-RMP) are a plus.
- Advanced certifications in project management, risk management, or FEED execution are advantageous.
Technical Skills
- Strong background in project management, FEED/Detail engineering, and large-scale delivery.
- Proficiency with project controls systems (P6/MS Project, earned value management, cost control) and governance frameworks.
- Experience with procurement, contract management, risk management, and interface management.
- Familiarity with FEED deliverables, MOC/Change control, and document control.
- Knowledge of codes and standards relevant to oil and gas projects (as applicable to FEED/Detail).
- Leadership in risk assessment, planning, and integration across disciplines.
- Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
