What you'll be doing
Product Development: As the SME and Owner across a portfolio of products, be able to answer any question related to the use case and have high confidence in all assumptions and financials.
Build use cases that clearly verify assumptions and customer value.
Establish high level project schedule and collaborate across teams to resolve roadblocks/issues where possible or provide recommendations.
Monitor project and remain accountable for delivery to resolve issues.
Assume responsibility for the products success and enhancements after launch.
Create operational plans to launch products on time and in budget.
Break down gaps and visualize issues with proposed countermeasures.
Ideation: Constantly explore new opportunities for existing products and new products that we should work on.
Hold Ideation Sessions utilizing existing products/data, work with internal groups and partners to identify new services and benefits.
Identify how existing products or products in development could be used in other unrelated use cases to account for scope.
Work the TMC and regional affiliates to uncover go to market strategies for new products or features.
Work with internal and Tier 1’s on hardware specs to account for future needs.
Identify potential new and improved business directions, develop strategic options/ approaches to recommend to management.
Research: Hone skills and knowledge to support your current and future work.
Utilize market research and other tools to understand macro and micro industry trends.
Initiate market research to gather feedback on competitiveness of use cases
Attend industry report outs at Toyota.
Meet with other Toyota Teams to learn about their hardware and platform capabilities to understand how to leverage their capabilities for feature enhancements.
Prepare business models to determine financial feasibility of new products using all available data sources to inform and confirm assumptions.
Review and maintain current information on competitive companies’ products, industry trends, and conduct customer research assisting in creation of Strategic Planning documents.
What you bring
A Bachelor’s Degree plus at least 2 years of experience in product management, strategy, consulting, engineering, or a related field.
A genuine passion for creating technology products and services that delight customers.
A proactive and self-driven professional who thrives on taking initiative and delivering results with clear strategic guidance.
Hands-on experience in conducting market research and validating customer needs to drive product success.
An entrepreneurial spirit—comfortable asking questions, making decisions, and embracing new challenges.
Strong ability to juggle multiple projects across different brands, business units, or technology platforms with ease.
Added bonus if you have
An MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
Experience in automotive or big tech industries and/or working in enterprise software as a service, big data/connected services or multimedia.
Experience working in an agile development framework with development team.
Experience building and/or analyzing financial business cases.
Demonstrated success in project management, business and data analysis, problem solving.
Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to build consensus among different stakeholder groups.
Proven ability to bring clarity and focus to complex and ambiguous situations.
