Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Production Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Production Engineer.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support existing production lines and manage Engineering projects.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Engineering Department’s objective to support existing production lines and manage Engineering projects.
What you’ll be doing
Support project activity, requiring management of internal & external resources, from concept to completion.
Assist in evaluating process equipment, layouts, tooling, and planning to help meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
Collaborate effectively with team members, management, and other departments; be open to learning how to present ideas and project updates.
Contribute to safety, quality, and productivity improvements by participating in problem-solving activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Learn and apply engineering standards in daily tasks; assist in updating documentation as needed.
Gain experience with Toyota Production System (TPS) principles to support waste reduction and process efficiency.
Willingness to travel occasionally for training, collaboration, or project support, both domestically and internationally.
What you bring
BS in Engineering or equivalent experience in an Engineering capacity.
Experience in at least one core area of mechatronics, such as robotics, electronics, computer engineering, telecommunications, systems engineering, or controls engineering, with a focus on implementing technological improvements.
Working knowledge of Manufacturing processes.
Ability to effectively communicate internally, as well as external affiliates.
Ability to work autonomously.
Flexibility to support weekend, temporary evening shift and holidays as needed.
This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that’s acceptable by company standards is required for this position.
Added bonus if you have
BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
Experience with Collaborative Robotics
Toyota Production System training (TPS)
Production Assembly / Machining / Stator Line Experience.
