Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Space Launch Systems (SLS) Program Senior Manufacturing Manager (level M) to join our dynamic team in Kennedy Space Center, FL or New Orleans, LA!
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages employees and mid-level managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines
- Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals and objectives
- Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 10+ years in Aerospace and Manufacturing
- 8+ years as a manager/leader
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role leading teams, initiatives, or projects to meet business objectives and influence change
- 5+ years’ experience in lean processes and initiatives
- Must have experience using a computer application such as e-mail and Microsoft Suite and MS Office tools
- Experience working in a cross functional environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- 5+ year experience preparing executive level communications and briefings
- 5+ Experience in implementing and working with BPS
- Ability to coach and lead others on standard work processes and procedures
- Experience in leading root-cause analysis or Boeing Problem Solving Model Experience
- Experience with managing QSCDM in a dynamic production system
- Experience interacting with DCMA and Program Management Offices

Summary pay range:
Kennedy Space Center, FL or New Orleans, LA $153,850 – $208,150 USD
