Overview
ABM is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Technician III. This role is ideal for someone with strong HVAC and mechanical experience, leadership capabilities, and a collaborative mindset. You’ll be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and installing HVAC and related equipment, while also coordinating day-to-day operations of assigned projects to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Pay: $38 - $42/ hr
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems and related mechanical equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of technical knowledge and service activities.
- Manage a high volume of service calls and job scheduling.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding job status and timelines.
- Complete all required paperwork promptly and accurately.
- Obtain customer signatures on service reports prior to beginning spot jobs.
- Provide technical training and support to clients, customers, and team members.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Lead smaller work groups when the Supervisor is present.
- Report team performance issues to the Supervisor.
- Train and mentor Tech IIs and IIIs, adapting to different learning styles and client expectations.
- Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to learn how the client prefers tasks to be completed.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid, unexpired driver’s license.
- High School Diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a maintenance technician role.
- Possession of a 2C Boiler License.
- Completion of 2A, 2B, and 2C license hours (minimum 1 year of hours).
- 1C license requires 4,000 hours of experience.
- Prior experience working in diverse teams and environments.
- One (1) year of prior lead or supervisory experience.
