Job Summary
Candidate will support the management of an Air and Missile Defense weapon system portfolio covering every aspect of the acquisition process, including integrating engineering, program control, test and deployment, configuration management, production and manufacturing, quality assurance, and logistics support. Candidate will support the integration of multi-discipline functions and products essential to major defense acquisition programs and other than major systems or subsystems. Key stakeholder collaboration will include the Joint Staff, OSD, HQDA DAMO-Fires, Fires Center of Excellence, PEO Missiles and Space, Combat Capabilities Development Command, MDA and SMDC.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Driving technical excellence by setting program standards, working closely with technical teams, balancing risk, and delivering performance while challenging the status quo; Ensuring successful program execution by managing budget process, technology, safety, quality, schedule and cost; Ensuring programs/projects are on schedule to achieve program milestones; Maximizing financial performance by forecasting and monitoring financial performance execution; Negotiating contracts, monitoring execution and resolving contract issues.
Candidate will serve as a KBR Executive Advisor for strategic business development pursuits for Air and Missile Defense, Army Fires and appropriate subordinate commands and elements. Candidate will develop strategic visions, plans and set objectives for new and existing government customers. Candidate will work with KBR Senior Leadership to develop and implement tactical action plans in support of combat developments, materiel development, HQDA integration, and modernization initiatives. Candidate will also serve as a liaison with other peers on cross-business unit opportunities.
Candidate will serve as an advisor for a KBR Leadership program to develop and deploy monthly training and mentoring programs. These programs provide professional development, networking, community outreach, career and personal enrichment, to motivate, retain and develop our KBR team members and transform them into future leaders.
Basic Qualifications
Clearance: Active/current Secret security clearance is required.
Education: Requires a MBA degree with 25+ Years of experience in DoD acquisition.
Certifications: Level III Certification in Program Management and/or Business Financial Management.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated success in strategic planning and tactical implementation
Experience in solving complex problems in demanding decision-making environments involving multiple stakeholders
Experience in publishing and presenting senior level briefings to Army leadership
Job location is Huntsville, AL with periodic travel to Houston, TX, Washington, DC and other locations as required.
