Business Technology(BT) in Workday continues its mission to deliver unparalleled value to our business partners and customers. The Program and Business Operations team works with stakeholders within BT and outside to define, align on, and implement the strategic programs and operations. The team is also responsible for standardizing program methodologies, tools and operations/metrics across the BT organization to provide a unified experience to business stakeholders and customers.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Sr. IT Portfolio Data Analyst to join our Business Technology (BT) organization. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in managing a very large IT portfolio by providing deep data insights and driving continuous improvement in our reporting and analytical capabilities. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including BT senior leadership up to the CIO, to ensure data-driven decision-making and enhance the transparency and efficiency of our IT portfolio. This role requires an individual who is not only an expert in data manipulation and visualization, but also a strategic thinker who can proactively identify opportunities for optimization.
Responsibilities
About You
Technical Expertise:
Expert-level proficiency in creating and manipulating pivot tables, particularly within Google Sheets.
Highly experienced in developing custom dashboards and reports.
Proficiency in Jira is required; experience with Asana and/or Smartsheet is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to visualize data effectively, with Tableau experience highly desirable.
Experience with large data migrations, including recommending and implementing efficient migration strategies.
Analytical & Proactive Mindset:Ability to not only fulfill data requests but also proactively identify opportunities for improved reporting, analysis, and data utilization.
Communication & Executive Presence:Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex data sets to diverse audiences, including senior executives. Comfortable operating in an executive-facing role.
Detail-Oriented yet Strategic:Ability to dive deep into data details while simultaneously understanding and articulating the broader strategic implications of the findings.
Education:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
