As a Sr. Lease Analyst, you will lead the analysis and verification of complex ownership interests and lease records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations. You will collaborate across Land, Engineering, Geology, and Accounting teams to support high-impact projects. Your expertise in title analysis, mineral and surface ownership, and problem resolution will be essential in maintaining data integrity and supporting exploration and production activities. You will supervise title examinations, administer lease provisions, and provide expert guidance to resolve discrepancies and support due diligence, acquisitions, and divestitures.

Responsibilities/Expectations:
· Ensure accurate acreage tracking and reporting by maintaining up-to-date lease boundary data, reconciling acreage discrepancies, and generating reports to support internal audits, regulatory filings, and operational planning
· Ensure timely and accurate payment of extensions, rentals, shut-in payments, and minimum royalties for the upstream assets
· Interpret and administer complex Federal, State and Fee lease forms to ensure the administration of provisions such as continuous drilling obligations, separate lease language, retained acreage, shallow and deep pugh clauses
· Analyze various forms, including complex title, lease, and contract documentation to maintain company ownership and obligations
· Create, maintain, and update lease record information in the Land system and applications to ensure accuracy and data integrity
· Manage a busy area of responsibility, working directly with Mineral and Surface Land, Division Orders, Engineering, Geology, and Accounting
· Assist Land with special projects, data requests, due diligence, and company acquisitions and divestitures
· Utilize various tools to review and understand details of the area of responsibility, and to build data audits for consistency and accuracy
· Add and maintain all cross-references to leases and contracts
· Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Business, or related field; a minimum of eight (8) years related industry experience
Other Requirements:
· Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial skills
· Excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work
· Proven leadership and mentoring skills
· Preferred: Strong understanding of land and mineral ownership, title analysis, and regulatory requirements in the upstream gas sector
