Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Entry Level Quality Engineer to join our team located in Huntsville, AL!
This position will be Quality Engineer position supporting the Electronics Center of Excellence in Huntsville, AL requiring strong background in data analysis and reviewing Non-Conformance Reviews (NCRs) to established metrics. Preference will be given to candidates skilled in data analysis tools, such as SQL, Python, Tableau and PowerBI.
This position requires the ability to develop and interpret quality metrics, perform data analysis and analyze non-conformance trends to present to leadership. Position requirements include participating and facilitating corrective actions and providing material review dispositions for non-conformances.
This is an on-site position that currently supports a 4x10 work schedule. This based on business conditions and is at the hiring team’s discretion and may change in the future.
Position Responsibilities:
Integrates contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.
Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities.
Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
Performs analysis and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances.
Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Experience with AS9100 and/or a similar Quality Management System standard
More than 3 years of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation
More than 1 year of experience presenting technical briefings to various audiences
More than 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or manufacturing support environment
More than 1 year of experience working Root Cause Corrective Action
More than 1 year of experience working with Non-Conformance (NCR) processes
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
1+ year of experience in SQL, Python or similar coding platform
1+ year of experience in Tableau or PowerBI or similar
1+ year of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams
Active U.S. Security Clearance
Experience interfacing with multiple levels of leadership
First Article Inspection (FAI) experience

Summary pay range: USD 60,350 -81,650
