We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Digital Product Manager (individual contributor) with expertise in financial planning and wealth management to enhance our product portfolio. This role will be responsible for defining, developing, and executing digital product strategies that align with Schwab’s focus on providing a best-in-class client experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Roadmap Development: Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for digital financial products and services, ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with technology, design, offer, and other departments to ensure successful product development and timely delivery
- Financial Planning and Wealth Management Expertise: Utilize your financial planning background to create digital solutions that cater to the needs of our clients
- Customer Focus: Engage with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to gather insights and translate them into product requirements
- Data-Centricity: Ensure data sources, architecture, and governance align with product goals and enable effective use of AI, personalization, and insights across the financial planning journey
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities, product enhancements, and ensure that our products meet the needs of our clients
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze product performance, user feedback, and key metrics to make informed decisions and optimize product offerings
- Agile Product Management: Lead product development in an Agile environment, ensuring milestones are met, risks are mitigated, and products are delivered in an iterative manner
- Vendor Management: Act as the digital lead for our technology vendors throughout the lifecycle from evaluation, contracting, onboarding, and ongoing maintenance
What you have
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
- 7-10 years of experience in digital product management, preferably with at least 3-5 years in the financial services, fintech, or related industries
- Strong understanding of financial planning
- Experience with Agile product development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Proven track record of managing digital products from concept through launch and ongoing iteration
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable product insights
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing cross-functional teams
- Experience with financial modeling and business case development
- Proficiency with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or advanced degree
- Experience in developing financial planning software or tools
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards
- Demonstrated interest and experience in applying generative AI to enhance digital client experiences, including tools like GPT-based assistants, document summarization, and predictive modeling
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
