You'll deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services, making a direct patient impact, collaborating across disciplines, and guiding future pharmacy professionals.
You will:
- Clinical Documentation: Document activities and interventions (consults, patient teachings).
- Order Verification & Dispensing: Interpret, verify, enter, label, and dispense medications accurately and timely.
- Quality Assurance: Rigorously verify/check medications prepared by other pharmacy personnel.
- Expert Drug Information: Communicate drug information to patients and health professionals.
- Problem Resolution: Resolve drug-related problems by consulting with healthcare providers; clarify orders and assist in drug selection/therapeutic regimens.
- Clinical Services: Provide basic clinical services for all age groups as required by policy.
- System & Team Management: Maintain knowledge of automated systems; provide direction/guidance to technicians.
- Education & Mentorship: Participate in training/mentoring pharmacy students, interns, technicians, residents, and other professionals. (May serve as Residency Program Director/Coordinator.)
- Compliance & Ongoing Education: Adhere to regulatory requirements; complete mandatory system/department education.
- Patient Counseling: Provide comprehensive patient counseling and drug information.

QualificationsWhat You'll Bring:
- Profound Pharmaceutical Knowledge: Strong grasp of pharmacy services, practice concepts, laws, and regulations.
- Exceptional Clinical Judgment: Ability to assess complex medication profiles and make critical decisions.
- Superior Communication & Leadership: Effectively consult, teach, and collaborate; guide and mentor.
- Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
- Required Licensure & Certifications: Oregon Pharmacist License, BLS-CPR.
- Preferred: ACLS.
