What does a successful Relationship Manager do?
As a Relationship Manager within the Financial Institution Group, you will be responsible for managing a geographically based portfolio of clients. You will provide enterprise clients with industry best practices and strategic input to deepen our overall partnership. Your role is crucial in enhancing client experience and retention by illustrating the value of the Fiserv partnership and ensuring proactive accountability.
What you will do:
- Develop a solid understanding of core applications and surround products in addition to clients' current offerings to effectively engage with prospective customers.
- Assist clients in assessing and aligning their business processes to achieve their short and long-term objectives.
- Propose Fiserv bundles, including pan-Fiserv solutions, to enable clients to better achieve their objectives using your technical and Fiserv knowledge.
- Partner with clients and various stakeholders to define both technical and cross-functional requirements within a proposal or solution.
- Demonstrate thought leadership and technical expertise, establishing you and Fiserv as trusted partners to the client.
- Obtain assigned sales quota through contract renewals and the sale of various products and services to assigned client portfolio.
- Maintain industry and product knowledge while continuously promoting a positive company image.
- Support sales initiatives by driving overall technical architecture design discussions.
What you will need to have:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in technical sales within the banking industry or product management experience.
- Experience managing and growing relationships with large/complex financial organizations.
- 10+ years of experience in sales and negotiating techniques.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Technology, Business Administration, or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.
- Knowledge of business operations in the financial industry.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communications and group presentation skills.
- Ability to travel 50-60%.
What would be great to have:
- Additional special training in banking.
- Knowledge of Fiserv core products, including integrating new clients with complex requirements.
- Fundamental knowledge of computer systems, including host-based systems and financial data processing systems.
- Proficiency in working with Microsoft tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to train others in technical expertise as needed.
