What does a successful FISERV Business Systems Analyst do?
At Fiserv, a successful Business Systems Analyst is the backbone of our application file delivery operations. You will work with a dedicated team of professionals to ensure seamless file transfers, troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently, and maintain the highest standards of data security and compliance. Your role is pivotal in optimizing workflows and enhancing the performance of our file delivery systems to align with Fiserv's mission of creating enriched financial service experiences.
What you will do:
- Oversee the end-to-end file delivery process for application-related data.
- Manage file structures, organize directories, attributes, and ensure efficient data storage.
- Troubleshoot and resolve file transfer issues to ensure minimal disruption.
- Collaborate with peers and infrastructure teams to optimize workflows.
- Maintain security protocols and compliance standards for data transfers.
- Document processes and provide technical support for file delivery systems.
- Analyze and improve delivery performance using relevant tools and metrics.
- Maintain on-call availability to respond to file delivery inquiries; must be flexible and available with scheduling.
- Setup, troubleshoot and maintain day-to-day activities within the ISG Director group.
- Work with client services, infrastructure group and product management to maintain product stability.
What you will need to have:
- 4+ years of experience in managing application file delivery systems.
- 4+ years of experience in troubleshooting technical issues.
- 4+ years of experience with data security protocols.
- 4+ years of experience in handling file structures and organizing directories.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and/or equivalent military experience.
What would be great to have:
- 4+ years of experience in file delivery system optimization.
- 4+ years of experience with compliance standards in data transfers.
- 4+ years of experience in collaborating with infrastructure teams.
- Experience with performance analysis tools for file delivery systems.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL.
- Experience with FTP file movements and file transmissions.
- Working knowledge of network connectivity, including basic connectivity troubleshooting.
- Experience with technical product implementations (including SQL DBA & Windows Server administration functions).
- Experience with automated file processing.
- Familiarity with a wide variety of 3rd party programs and applications.
- Previous experience with Fiserv Premier and other 3rd party data mining/data warehousing applications and products or previous experience in banking or financial services industry.
