We are seeking a highly skilled V&V (Verification and Validation) Engineer to join our team, with expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our systems meet the required specifications, standards, and regulations. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement comprehensive verification and validation strategies, leveraging MBSE principles and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Develop and maintain system models using MBSE tools (e.g., SysML, UML) to support system design, analysis, and verification.
2. VCRM (Verification Cross-Reference Matrix) Generation: Create and maintain the VCRM to ensure that all system requirements are properly verified and validated.
3. Mission Success Tree (MST) Development: Develop and maintain the MST to identify critical system functions and ensure that they are properly verified and validated.
4. Master Test Plan (MTP) Development: Help Create and maintain the MTP to outline the overall testing strategy, including test cases, test procedures, and test environments.
5. Requirements Validation: Validate system requirements against stakeholder needs, ensuring that they are complete, consistent, and unambiguous.
6. Verification and Validation Activities: Plan, execute, and report on verification and validation activities, including testing, analysis, and inspection.
7. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with system engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure that verification and validation activities are properly integrated into the system development lifecycle.
8. Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all verification and validation activities comply with relevant standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
The Systems Engineer will perform Verification and Validation (V&V) duties for a Lockheed Martin Space IGNITE program. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the system design meets the required specifications, standards, and regulations. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including systems engineering, software engineering, and test engineering, to verify and validate system performance, functionality, and safety.

Basic Qualifications:- Experience in systems engineering, with a focus on V&V activities.
- Proficiency in systems engineering tools, such as SysML, UML, or similar modeling languages. Familiarity with testing and validation methodologies, including test planning, test execution, and test reporting.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, as required.
Desired Skills:Advanced Degree: Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience with LM Space Programs: Prior experience working on Lockheed Martin Space programs, with knowledge of LM Space systems, processes, and procedures.
V&V Experience: Experience with V&V activities, including test planning, test execution, and test reporting, with a focus on systems engineering.
Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Experience with MBSE tools, such as IBM Rhapsody, NoMagic MagicDraw, or similar tools.
Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.
Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python, C++, or Java.
Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or similar certifications.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
