About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking an Independent Solutions Growth Director to support the Independent Solutions Channel, which includes FiNet and Registered Investment Advisors (RIA). In this role, you will:- Collaborate with Channel Leadership to develop and execute on a territory sales strategy
- Partner with Strategic Partners and Internal Centers of Influence to drive sales results
- Drive sales and Advisor participation across a wide range of Wells Fargo products to include investment sales, full balance sheet solutions and deposit balances
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities through strategic planning, market analysis, and advisor feedback
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Financial Advisors in the Independent Solutions Channel
- Provide coaching, education, and support to advisors to enhance their understanding and utilization of Wells Fargo products and platforms
- Facilitate onboarding and integration of new advisors into the Wells Fargo ecosystem
- Partner with Strategic Partners, Centers of Influence, and internal teams to coordinate efforts and maximize impact
Required Qualifications:- 5+ years of Business Growth Strategy experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Successfully completed FINRA Series 7 Series exam to qualify for immediate registration (or FINRA recognized equivalents)
Desired Qualifications:- Successfully completed FINRA Series 63 and 65 (or 66) exams to qualify for immediate registration (or FINRA recognized equivalents)
- Experience working with or supporting independent financial advisors, RIAs, or within an independent broker-dealer environment
- Deep understanding of the independent advisor business model, including operational flexibility, compliance nuances, and client service dynamics
- Proven ability to navigate complex organizational structures and influence without direct authority
- Familiarity with wealth management platforms, advisor technology tools, and digital engagement strategies
- Demonstrated success in territory management, including planning, execution, and performance tracking
- Ability to translate strategic goals into actionable sales plans tailored to diverse advisor practices
- Strong presentation, facilitation, communication capabilities, with experience leading advisor meetings
Job Expectations:- Territory-based travel (up to 50%) to engage directly with independent Financial Advisors and Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) in the FiNet channel
- Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
- FINRA Series 63 and Series 65 (or 66) examinations, or equivalent must be completed within either a 90 or 180-day time period following commencement of employment, depending upon the number of license(s) needed if not immediately available to transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted. This will be communicated at time of offer acceptance. Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements is mandatory. In addition to state registration and licensing requirements, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA licensing review process at the time of offer acceptance. For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite is required
- Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) may be required for ongoing employment in this position
- This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CFR 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification.
