The Boeing Company’s International Operations and Policy (IO) team is seeking a Government Relations Specialist to join their team in Arlington, VA.
The IO team is responsible for engaging with U.S. and foreign governments, business associations, and customers in Washington, D.C. to advance Boeing’s international sales and global market priorities. In this role, you will support the team’s global defense portfolio.
The ideal candidate will have working experience with U.S. foreign policy in particular Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program. In addition, the candidate should have excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate complex information effectively and under tight deadlines.
Position Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing briefing memos, background materials, and presentations for internal and external engagements.
Draft correspondence and communication materials, including reports, advocacy letters, and meeting requests.
Provide administrative support to the IO team, including scheduling meetings, organizing files, and maintaining databases.
Monitor policy and security trends, current events, and developments in select regions and countries; analyze impact on Boeing’s international business operations and strategic objectives.
Coordinate with business and functional partners on messaging and engagement strategies to support Boeing’s international sales campaigns and policy positions.
Track Congressional notifications, Committee hearings, and proposed legislation as it relates to the defense business and international defense sales.
Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
A Bachelor’s degree or higher
2+ of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
2+ of experience in excellent research and analytical skills, with attention to detail and the ability to convey complex information clearly.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
2+ years of previous experience in a U.S. government agency, industry association or related environment.
Familiarity with FMS program, U.S. foreign/defense policy, and commercial advocacy.

Summary pay range: $89,250-$120,750
