INTRODUCTION
USAF requires comprehensive Salesforce support services to enhance, maintain, and mature its current Salesforce ecosystem, with a flexible and scalable team of experts capable of providing end-to-end support in all aspects of Salesforce, including day-to-day operations and system innovation. The goal is to partner with professionals who can advance our Salesforce environment to align with the latest industry standards and best practices. This includes, but is not limited to, software delivery lifecycle (SDLC) management.

Current Salesforce Environment:
Platform and Modules: USAFA utilizes Salesforce Government Cloud Plus, incorporating modules such as Service Cloud, Public Sector Solutions, and custom applications tailored to Academy needs.
Customizations and Integrations: The system includes custom objects, workflows, and Apex code, and is integrated with other internal systems and third-party applications via APIs and middleware solutions.
User Base: The platform supports a diverse user base, including administrative staff, faculty, cadets, alumni, and external stakeholders involved in the nomination and admissions process.
Data Security and Compliance: The Salesforce environment complies with the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP+). Strict adherence to data governance, privacy regulations, and cybersecurity protocols is mandatory.
Objectives for Salesforce Support Services:
- System Enhancement and Maintenance: Continuously improve the Salesforce environment to meet evolving operational requirements and adopt the latest industry best practices.
- Innovation and Modernization: Introduce new features, functionalities, and technologies to enhance user experience and system capabilities, including mobile access, analytics, and AI-driven solutions.
- Performance Optimization: Ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance of the Salesforce platform, addressing any technical issues promptly.
- User Support and Training: Provide comprehensive support to end-users, including troubleshooting, helpdesk services, and training programs to improve user adoption and proficiency.
- Change Management: Implement effective change management processes to handle updates, upgrades, and system changes with minimal disruption to operations.
- Security and Compliance Assurance: Maintain stringent security measures to protect sensitive data, ensuring compliance with all relevant federal and DoD regulations.
- Data Management and Integration: Enhance data quality, implement data governance practices, and support seamless integration with internal and external systems.
- Scalability and Flexibility: Ensure the Salesforce environment can scale to meet future demands and is flexible enough to adapt to new requirements.

SCOPE
Salesforce support services shall ensure optimal performance and security of USAFA Admissions, Faculty Support, GIFT Funds, Protocol and Strategic Communications Salesforce environments. The contractor shall deliver IT development, security, configuration, and operational support to the targeted administrative functions of USAFA. The contractor shall ensure that the Salesforce ecosystem remains fully operational 24/7, except for planned maintenance periods.
Required Qualifications:
- Salesforce development experience.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I/II Certification.
- Hands-on expertise with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, SOQL, and Flows.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce integration tools (APIs, middleware, Data Loader).
- Experience implementing Agile/SDLC methodologies.
