Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various cleaning environments, including commercial and residential settings. This role is essential for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all.
Part-time: 9:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. Wednesday only.
Rate of pay is $15.50 per hr.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Handle waste disposal and recycling processes efficiently.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks as needed to support facilities upkeep.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow established cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure thorough cleaning of all areas.
- Provide porter services when required, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment as necessary.
Requirements
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment used in commercial and industrial settings.
- Familiarity with floor care procedures, including buffing and maintenance techniques.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with cleaning duties, including lifting and moving items as needed.
- Experience in facilities maintenance is a plus.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
