Role Definition
As a Wiring Technician 2, you will lead by example in the assembly and wiring of switchgear products, demonstrating advanced proficiency in CSA standards and wiring practices. You will support your team by ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are met, and act as a subject matter expert in switchgear wiring. This role focuses on the assembly and wiring process in a production environment
What You Will Do
Wire sub-panels, door devices, and enclosures with minimal supervision according to CSA standards and drawings.
Route harnesses neatly with or without wire loom.
Escalate safety, quality, and production issues promptly to the appropriate personnel.
Assist the Team Lead in ensuring team members have the tools, materials, and guidance needed to succeed.
Provide training and support for team members in the Team Lead’s absence.
Proactively contributes to team success and acts as a technical resource for peers.
Perform punch list activities independently and accurately.
Maintain production schedules and eliminate defects through proper documentation and root cause analysis.
Ensure products meet CSA standards and engineering specifications.
Accurately log hours and report defects using CSA systems.
Participate in 5S housekeeping and process improvement initiatives.
Fill in for other team members or Team Leads as needed.
May be assigned to other work centers based on business needs.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Deliver high-quality products safely and on time.
Support company initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Demonstrate leadership and initiative in all assigned tasks.
What You Will Have
High School Diploma or GED (preferred) + minimum of 3 years of combined experience.
Current certifications for all subordinate positions (BPA through PEW or equivalent).
Advanced knowledge of CSA standards, drawings, and wiring practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PDF documents.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and diagrams with precision.
Experience interfacing with internal departments and external vendors.
Top Candidates Will Have
2–3 years of experience reading and working with electrical schematics.
Extensive knowledge of CSA schematic reading and production standards.
Ability to lead and train others effectively.
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation)
Ability to stand and work for 8–10 hours per day.
Ability to safely climb and work on ladders for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Ability to perform repetitive operations.

Summary Pay Range:
$21.65 - $28.10
