Senior Network and Systems Specialist
KBR is seeking a highly qualified Network and Systems Specialist to manage and support IT operations in secure environments. This role demands a versatile professional with expertise in networking, IT project management, account administration, media and equipment control, and classified security protocols.
The candidate will also serve as a backup CSSO and CPSO and perform Trusted Agent and limited cybersecurity duties in alignment with DoD SCI and SAP requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain secure IT systems and networks (NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, other SCI/SAP networks).
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network infrastructure and devices (routers, switches, cryptographic systems, printers, phones).
- Support installation of DoD unclassified/classified systems, including network cabling.
- Manage account lifecycle and provide system training per DoD and program-specific guidelines.
- Lead IT project planning, execution, and documentation across classified and unclassified domains.
- Maintain accountability of media and equipment; develop facility and system diagrams.
- Perform Trusted Agent duties and support site cybersecurity functions.
- Act as alternate CSSO/CPSO at corporate and government sites, supporting SCI and SAP security operations.
- Ensure compliance with DoD, ICD, and SAP security policies; conduct self-inspections.
- Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders for training, audits, inspections, and accreditations.
- Serve as a COMSEC Responsible Officer and COMSEC custodian.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; SAP eligibility or willingness to obtain, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
- Willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence Polygraph and drug screening.
- 8–10 years of hands-on experience with DoD or IC SCI/SAP systems, including 3+ years in a leadership or project management role.
- IAT Level II or IAM Level I certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP, CISM).
- Proficiency in basic networking, such as router and switch configuration, and cable/patch panel management.
- Proficiency in DoD RMF processes and tools such as XACTA, eMASS, and external system packages.
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a secure, mission-driven environment.
- May require travel to secure sites, classified meetings, and inspections.
- Must be able to work in and around SCIF/SAPF environments.
- On-call support for facility alarms is required.
- Primary government work location, as alternate, is Schriever Space Force Base.
Desired:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Experience briefing and collaborating with executive leadership, government stakeholders, and program managers.
- Prior experience supporting SCI and SAP programs in CSSO/CPSO roles, including personnel and physical security responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to develop Standard Operating Procedures and training plans.
- Previous roles as CSSO, CPSO, Network Trusted Agent, and/or COMSEC Responsible Officer.
- Self-starter with the proven ability to work independently.

Basic Compensation:
$125,000 - $140,000
This range is for Colorado only.
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
