About the Role
Join Workday and shape the very future of work! We're searching for a passionate and experienced communicator to join our dynamic team and to help shape the Workday story for our employees and external audiences on our biggest stages.
The primary focus for this role will be leading the development of compelling keynote segments for our six primary company events throughout the year. You’ll work closely with our executives to craft messages that truly resonate with diverse internal and external global audiences. You’ll also be a key partner in helping to evolve and update Workday’s corporate narrative to ensure our core story is consistently and effectively communicated.

Responsibilities
Lead Keynote Content Development: Develop compelling and easy-to-understand keynote content for Workday’s most strategic corporate events.
Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with marketing teams - Events, Thought Leadership, Production, PR, and Product Marketing - ensuring all keynote content is engaging, consistent, and on-message.
Shape Visual Storytelling: Guide our design team in creating powerful visuals and slides that elevate keynotes and captivate audiences.
Provide Strategic Communications Counsel: Offer guidance to senior executives on messaging, tone, and presentation delivery, helping them shine on stage.
Refine Workday’s Voice: Contribute significantly to evolving Workday’s Corporate Narrative, using creativity and engaging communication to help the Workday story connect with our global audiences.
Cultivate Trusted Partnerships: Build strong, collaborative relationships with senior executives and their teams, becoming a trusted communications advisor and strategic business partner.
About You
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
At least 8+ years working in corporate communications and marketing, in a fast-paced, high-tech company.
Strong experience leading C-level keynote content development, including storyline development, script writing and guiding visuals (in partnership with visual designer).
Experience with large-scale event production and an understanding of audience segmentation and tailored messaging.
Demonstrated ability to drive consensus and manage feedback from multiple stakeholders.
Demonstratable knowledge of AI concepts, trends and innovations, beyond just general technology knowledge. The ideal candidate will grasp the nuances of AI, including generative and agentic AI, machine learning, and specific applications.
Demonstrable ability to understand complex technology and translate it into compelling stories, including the capacity to explain AI in a clear, concise, and engaging way for various audiences—from technical experts to the general public.
Established track record collaborating with and proactively supporting senior leaders on their communications; client service attitude and consultative approach is a must.
Strong interpersonal skills, executive presence and an incredibly high EQ.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Outstanding writing and editing skills. High degree of flexibility, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Innovative mindset—always looking for ways to improve how Workday communicates with and engages audiences.
Specific knowledge in building, selling and deploying enterprise software–not the actual selling or deploying but knowing and understanding the strategy and concepts behind each.
Outstanding writing and editing skills.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
