Description:You will be the Industrial Engineer Sr, responsible for improving production processes and preparing for future business needs for sensor and missile products in the Manufacturing Centers. Our team is focused on driving efficiency and effectiveness in our production operations, and we're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Engineer to join our team.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Industrial Engineer Sr, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional improvement efforts for a production area, working with various teams to identify areas of focus for production improvement. You will perform observations and time studies to support cost driver analysis and process improvement, and use visualization and data tools to analyze production processes.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading cross-functional improvement efforts for a production area
• Identifying areas of focus for production improvement across a wide scope
• Performing observations and time studies to support cost driver analysis and process improvement
• Using visualization and data tools to analyze production processes
• Applying Lean and Six-Sigma practices to production and leading events for major improvement efforts
• Analyzing large data sets to conduct Capacity Requirements Planning (equipment utilization, manpower forecasting, and factory space planning)
• Analyzing and improving factory scheduling with cycle time analysis
• Planning and implementing layout improvements and capital equipment projects
• Building discrete event simulation models for use in what-if analysis of production processes
• Assisting in new product development and proposal efforts with data analysis

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
