The Role
The Tax Transformation Manager is responsible for managing comprehensive tax transformation initiatives within client tax organizations. This role focuses on optimizing the tax organization design, tax processes, integrating advanced technologies, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations to enhance the overall efficiency and strategic value of the tax function. This role is pivotal in driving change and innovation within the tax function, ensuring that the organization remains compliant and efficient while leveraging the latest best-in-class solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Assess, identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement and business integration
• Develop a new tax organization design that supports the transformed tax function, including roles, responsibilities, and reporting lines
• Develop a tax transformation strategy that aligns with the organization's enterprise and tax function goals
• Develop a detailed transformation roadmap that outlines key milestones, timelines, and resource requirements
• Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and technologies, including communication, training, and support for impacted teams
• Evaluate and implement tax technology solutions to support tax processes, including tax reporting and compliance solutions (i.e. ONESOURCE suite, Corptax), robotic process automation (RPA), artificial intelligence (AI), and data analytics tools
• Perform capability assessment across a series of vendors in order to recommend a solution set that fits into client corporate technology strategies
• Redesign and standardize tax processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
• Work closely with broader company teams (finance, HR, IT, legal) and external advisors to drive tax transformation initiatives and effective business integration
• Possess an understanding of finance operations, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (OTC), and Record-to-Report (RTR) processes, to ensure seamless integration and alignment with tax transformation initiatives
The Requirements
- • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
• Advanced certifications – CPA and/or technology and program management credentials preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of Public Accounting, Corporate Tax, or business transformation experience
• Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex tax concepts and transformation strategies to clients.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving
• Proficiency in enterprise and tax technology tools and software.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
