What does a successful FTS Network Services Security Engineer do at Fiserv?
You will actively contribute to the implementation, operations, and support of enterprise security solutions in a global multi-data center environment. Your primary responsibility will be to support the operational security function within Fiserv Technology Services (FTS) to develop, maintain, and advance the security posture of the company, adequately protecting Fiserv assets.
What you will do:
- Support the implementation of corporate security policies, programs, and procedures to protect information systems’ assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction.
- Manage and enhance the effectiveness of current security tools and applications, including firewall infrastructure, web content filtering technologies, VPN/network gateway infrastructure, and security SSL certificates.
- Support PCI and other internal or external audit processes for the enterprise.
- Operate and maintain security infrastructure in large, complex global multi-data center environments.
- Ensure the security posture of the company by supporting security initiatives, monitoring security logs, and responding to security incidents.
- Provide network security expertise, including managing firewalls, IP networking, and network security technologies, such as Intrusion Detection, DMZ, encryption, IPSec, PKI, VPNs, MPLS/VPN, Site-to-Site VPN tunnels, SSL/VPN, proxy services, and DNS.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance with security protocols and data protection standards.
- Work independently and within a team environment to address security challenges.
What you will need to have:
- 12+ years of extensive relevant technical experience, preferably in a progressive information security operations or engineering group.
- 12+ years of experience working in a complex Palo Alto and Checkpoint environment, ideally in the financial sector.
- 12+ years of proven hands-on experience with firewalls and strong knowledge of IP networking and network security.
- 5+ years of experience with WAF, Splunk, Tufin, network routing, switching, and packet analysis.
- 5+ years of experience in PCI DSS compliance and network security and related applications, tools, and solutions.
- 5+ years of experience understanding network routing and switching architecture, design, and troubleshooting.
- 5+ years of experience supporting 24x7x365 high availability solutions in large complex data center environments.
- Fiserv systems experience.
What would be great to have:
- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or Risk Management, or a High School Diploma with equivalent relevant work experience.
- Experience with Checkpoint VSX and Provider 1, and CCSA certification is preferred.
- CISSP certification preferred.
- Palo Alto ACE and PCNSE certifications preferred.
Travel required:
- Occasional travel for conferences and internal business meetings.
